Coca-Cola opens new can production line in Dongen - Site boosts local production by 30%

Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade drinking Coke from first can
Coca-Cola Inc. (Atlanta, GA) has opened a new can production line in Dongen, the Netherlands, expanding the company's local production capacity by 30%.
Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade Frank Heemskerk presided at the opening of the new facility.
"The opening of the can production line underscores the importance of the Dutch consumer market for Coca-Cola," Heemskerk said.
Company officials laud the Dongen site for its opportunities for future growth, and environmentally friendly innovations. The site is also expected to enhance the company's local customer base.
"This expansion offers us more flexibility when responding to individual customer demands as well as continuous quality," said Kris Moortgat, Operations Director, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Netherlands.
